Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 27

I was so excited to come home and see my neighbors' daffodils in full bloom (tulips are a little sleepy still, but they'll wake up soon), and my beautiful lilac full of green buds. Springtime is a great time of year; it's still a little chilly but you can't resist the promise of new life and a new season. That sentiment is what inspired this weeks' challenge!

Before I reveal the challenge, I'd like to congratulate 12. Tara Mason as she is our lucky random winner for Challenge 26! She made such a sweet bumblebee and flower "hello" card with her Peachy Keen faces. Check it out if you haven't already! Tara, please email me your info and we will ship your prize out to you. Everyone's cards were so awesome and unique! I loved seeing how creative everyone was with their "up"cycling! It really is fun to see what "junk" you can turn into an absolute treasure! Onto the next challenge...

What inspires you? This week, simply create a card using the attached color palette and base your ideas on the inspiration images. No idea is too abstract- let your mind run wild! These entries will be judged by the DT, Kathy and myself. They'll be judged based on the following criteria:
  • Original creativity
  • Quality of work
  • Interpretation of challenge
Only one entry per person please. If you have more than one entry, we will use the first as your entry for the contest. Thanks for understanding. :) Please link up your entry no later than May 2nd to be eligible for the prize. Have fun!

Color Palette and Inspiration Images

Viv's card looks like it came right out of a fairytale!! She used the newest birdie to the PKS line, PK-267.

Lorie has created the cuuuuutest little bluebird and polka dot pair! She also used PK-267.

Janice whipped up the most darling bunch of grapes (Simple Simon collection) and sweet little animal friends (PK-214 and PK-204).

Jacqui's gorgeous work of art was made using PK-780 (which is one of my personal faves)!

Nikki has captured such a sweet mother/daughter bird moment using PK-267 and PK-268! Awww!

Emma's elegant and simply stated Mother's Day card was made using PK-268.

Sonia used PK-268 as well to create her fun and funky Mother's Day card!

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 26

Good Morning from Florida everyone!!! My sister, husband, and two babies (ages 2 and 11 months!) drove down from Wisconsin last Friday. Yikes! We've been having so much fun, though, and our daughters are LOVING the warm weather and Disney, of course!

We were completely WOW'ed with all the entries on this challenge. Everyone really did an excellent job, however there was one that stood out for us and that was Samantha Casey's! Just look at those peas in their "pod"! So very creative!! Samantha, please email us and we will email your $25 gift certificate. Congratulations!

Ready for the next challenge? We are! The challenge is to create a card using all of the items/colors/methods listed below:
  • Stitching (either by sewing needle or hand-drawn)
  • White and Orange (card could have more colors, but must include these two in the card)
  • Contain one upcycled item (something that could be thrown away but instead will make its way onto your work of art!)
  • Any Peachy Keen Stamp

P.S. Did you know that Peachy Keen Stamps are made with photopolymer, a substance that emits practically zero V.O.C.’s during production and since the excess polymer goes through a recycling process to make new Peachy Keen Stamps, it is much more environmentally friendly than traditional rubber? Cool, huh!?

Happy Earth Day!

Cards will not be judged, we will draw one random winner, and the prize package is listed below the designer posts. Please upload your card using Mr. Linky no later than April 18th.

Our designers really showed us some wonderful upcycle possibilities and the cards are gorgeous, to boot! Take a look:

Viv has created a simply sweet "Get Well Ducky" card using PK-266!

Lorie's gorgeous coloring compliments the creative use of paper beads and gold stitching using PK-251.

Janice has made a super sweet birthday project using the elephant from PK-222 and Lulee from PK-780.

Nikki used the plastic packaging from a set of stickers to create this underwater effect using sea creatures from PK-951 and PK-950.

Emma's little tree is SO adorable - she used some of the Everyday faces for her oranges!

Place your link into Mr. Linky to be entered in the random drawing for PK-267 - Happy Bird and Phrases stamp!
Good luck!

Have a great day everyone!
